Dr. Nichols, who received his M.A. in Mathematics at the University of Illinois in 1953 and his Ph. D. in Mathematics Education at the same university in 1956, is at present professor and head of the Department of Mathematics Education and lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Florida State University.
