Simple computing devices for children to build and use

The use of manipulative devices in teaching mathematics is becoming a widely accepted procedure and is supported by some research by learning theorists, and by practitioners – teachers themselves. Many teachers have long advocated that children need to manipulate a device or variety of devices before being required to abstract a concept or a model.
