Attribute blocks or logic blocks can be obtained commercially) or constructed from wood by the teacher or school shop personnel. A set based on four attributes – shape (triangular, circular, square, and oblong), color (red, yellow, and blue), size (large and small), and thickness (thick and thin) – would consist of 48 blocks, one for each possible combination of the variables (Figure 1).
