Next Stop on a Year of Creative Math

May 2, 2025

Join MCATA for Math in Motion: A Day of Discovery, Wonder, and Play. Step into a day where numeracy comes alive, critical thinking takes center stage, and problem solving becomes an adventure. We invite educators, math enthusiasts, and curious minds to explore the rich, creative side of mathematics through hands-on experiences, curious challenges, and joyful play.

This isn’t your typical sit-and-get symposium. Prepare to move, think, question, and collaborate as we dive into puzzles, provocations, and powerful conversations that stretch our understanding of math and its place in the world.

Throughout the day, we’ll also explore how quick, purposeful numeracy routines can bridge gaps, build confidence, and deepen understanding – all in just a few minutes a day. These small but mighty moves help connect conceptual thinking with everyday classroom practicce, turning routines into rich mathematical moments.

Whether you’re building patterns, exploring number sense, or wrestling with open-ended problems, you’ll leave energized with ready-to-use ideas and a renewed sense of curiousity and joy.

Let’s reimagine what math can be: dynamic, human, and filled with possibility. Join MCATA on their fourth stop of the series and the last before the new school year.
