THE REAL NUMBER FIELD

Hello, Sports Fans!

You have all heard of the soccer field and the football field. Have you heard of the real number field? It might be called a mathematical game–so let’s compare it to a game of, say, soccer!

Do you recognize the “equipment” for the real number field? You should from many of the previous activities.  You should be quite familiar with most of the “plays” also.  What about the rules? These are very important. Sometimes it is easier to learn these by applying them to different situations. Let’s try.
