Mathematics Council Newsletter

From the Editor’s Pencil

As you read through the newsletter, please watch for the nomination forms that are included with this issue. We are fortunate to have some new members on the MCA1A executive this year, but fresh eyes and spirits are always welcome. Belonging to this specialist council allows math teachers province wide to influence curriculum and to develop relationships with other like-minded professionals. If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the Mathematics Council, now might be the time to consider doing it. It is a fun and rewarding experience that I highly recommend.
As another school year draws to a close, I find myself facing other endings and this will be one of them. After six years of editing this newsletter, I am handing the reins to one of our aforementioned new executive members, Taney Lazar. Her youth and enthusiasm will bring a new outlook and perspective to this publication, and I am confident that she will do an outstanding job.
